The Swedish rock band The Hellacopters was initially started in 1994 as a side project by Nicke Andersson (a founding member of the Swedish death metal band Entombed), with Dregen (who later left the band to concentrate on Backyard Babies), Kenny Håkansson and Robert Eriksson. The band's first single 'Killing Alan' was released in 1995 and after signing to White Jazz Records the debut album 'Supershitty to the Max' was released in June 1996.
